How do I know you are the right therapist for me?
If you’ve never engaged in therapy before, it can be a frightening experience to talk to a total stranger about your intimate feelings and thoughts. You are brave to be taking that first step. It is vital for me as the therapist and for the work we do together that you feel you can trust me and feel comfortable and relaxed in my company. The relationship between the client and therapist is an enormous part of a successful outcome for the client. The well-being of my clients is my priority. Therefore, I create a space of compassion, acceptance and non-judgment.
How does counselling work?
Counselling offers you a safe and confidential space in which you can express any problems or emotional or other difficulties you are experiencing. It can help you gain more awareness and help you understand who you are, how you are and what your behaviour is. Counselling can help you identify self-defeating
patterns / habits and find new positive ways of being. It can also improve confidence and self-esteem and enhance your performance in the professional world. It can also help with making new choices and decisions that will give you a more fulfilling and peaceful life. As a therapist, I am bound by confidentiality unless you are a danger to yourself or someone else.
Is counselling right for me?
Sometimes life just simply seems to be too much to cope with. Modern society produces a lot of pressure and expectations. Speaking to an unbiased counsellor who can help you to see your life from another perspective, who can help you believe in yourself again and help you discover your inner strengths can be a huge relief.
Do I really need counselling?
Most people can gain from counselling. In counselling we deal with all kinds of issues:
Do you like the life you are living? Do you like and value yourself? Are you satisfied with your relationships? Do you live a healthy and balanced life? Do you say and do what you really want to? Counselling can help you live a more fulfilling life.

How long does it take?
There is no real answer to that. It depends on the client and what the person wants to achieve with therapy. Short term therapy is available, as well as longer term.
How long does a typical session last?
Either 55 or 90 minutes.
